Building Related Emergencies

• In the event of a building emergency during normal office hours Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, immediately call Buildings and Grounds at 646-660-6630 to ensure immediate response to any building related emergency.
• If the emergency occurs outside of “normal” office hours or on a weekend, please immediately call the Office of Public Safety at 646-312-3333.
• The following are examples of building emergencies.
  • Fire – visible or suspected, smell of smoke, gas or chemicals.
  • Flood – toilet overflowing, broken waste/water pipes, roof leaks, etc.
  • Building constructions that pose an immediate hazard.
  • Spills of liquids that are suspected of being hazardous to one’s health, life safety hazards.
  • Power outage
