    ID Card Center FAQs

What is the Baruch CUNYCard ID?

Your CUNYCard ID is your first step toward a safe campus. Display it upon entering any Baruch College building. Showing the card is mandatory; not an inconvenience. Invalid ID cards will be confiscated by a security officer or the ID Center.

    Visitors

Baruch College welcomes anyone with official business during business hours. Visitors sign in, but they must have an appointment or be accompanied by a faculty member. If you would like to have a campus tour, you should contact Undergraduate Admissions to make appropriate arrangements.

All visitors entering a Baruch College campus building must sign in to the visitor’s log located in each building’s lobby. The Public Safety Officers will sign in visitors after the visitor displays a valid ID such as a driver’s license. If the visitor does not display a valid ID, they will not be admitted to the building. In this case, the visitor will be referred to the Public Safety Office.

    Students

All students who take classes at Baruch College must have a CUNYCard ID. New students must go to the CUNYCard center to have their CUNYCard ID photo taken. Continuing students who must obtain a replacement ID should go to the CUNYCard ID center. The first CUNYCard ID you receive is complimentary. After that, there will be a charge of $10.00 (cash only) to replace your ID card.

All students must have registered and paid their tuition before they can get a CUNYCard ID.

If a student is not registered in classes for the current semester, his or her CUNYCard ID becomes invalid at the beginning of the semester. Your invalid ID card will be confiscated if seen on campus.

You are welcome, however, to visit any office during office business hours as a visitor.

    Alumni
After pausing the program at the onset of the pandemic, the Office of Alumni Relations is once again issuing Alumni ID Cards for access to floors two through five of the Newman Library. You must complete an online form, with a minimum $20 contribution to the Baruch College Fund, in order to obtain your Alumni ID Card.
