Division Mission

The Division of Operations & Administration advances Baruch College’s mission as a national model for access and excellence by stewarding the College’s financial, physical, human, and operational resources with integrity, transparency, and strategic intent. In alignment with Baruch College’s Strategic Plan 2023–28, the Division strengthens institutional resilience, optimizes operations and infrastructure, and delivers high-quality services that enable students, faculty, and staff to learn, work, and thrive in the heart of New York City.

Division Goals & Objectives

Goal 1: Optimize Operational and Fiscal Effectiveness

• Objective: Strengthen fiscal sustainability through transparent planning, responsible resource allocation, and disciplined financial stewardship.
• Objective: Reduce administrative complexity and improve the efficiency, clarity, and reliability of core operational processes.
• Objective: Ensure compliance with applicable CUNY, City, State, and federal requirements while improving the service experience for campus partners.

Goal 2: Strengthen Physical, Digital, and Safety Infrastructure

• Objective: Maintain safe, accessible, and well-functioning facilities that support academic excellence, student engagement, and employee well-being.
• Objective: Modernize building systems, security infrastructure, and digital tools to improve reliability, efficiency, and resilience.
• Objective: Support long-term capital planning and infrastructure investment responsive to institutional growth, risk, and external conditions.

Goal 3: Support a Collaborative, Engaged, and Effective Workforce

• Objective: Enhance hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development experiences for faculty, staff, and administrators.
• Objective: Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, care, and respect across operational units.
• Objective: Strengthen communication and shared understanding of administrative processes and decision-making.

• Objective: Use assessment, performance data, and stakeholder feedback to guide operational improvement and resource decisions.
• Objective: Strengthen emergency preparedness, business continuity planning, and institutional resilience.
• Objective: Communicate progress, outcomes, and improvements clearly and transparently to campus stakeholders.
