Scheduling
To reserve space at the Conference Center, Baruch College faculty or staff (i.e. the Event Organizer) must contact their department’s designated Calendar Administrator who is responsible for making the room request via the Baruch College calendar system. These requests must be submitted no later than ten (10) business days prior to the date of the event. The Calendar Administrator will be notified about the status of the reservation via the system.
Please provide your Calendar Administrator the following information:
- Contact information (Event Organizer’s Name, Department, Email, Phone Number)
- Event title
- Requested date(s) and time(s)
- Specify number of participants. Choose the appropriate room size in the charts below
- Indicate Food & Beverage Service, if any. Refer to the Important Notes Section in the charts below
- Specify if event is co-sponsored with an external organization or a CUNY event*
*Refer to Baruch College’s Space Reservation Policy as well as your Department Head/Dean for the appropriate rate category for each event.
Please note the Conference Center is a venue for events and not classes. Please contact the Registrar’s Office for classrooms.
Planning
- Once the reservation is confirmed, the Event Organizer must email Karolina Novak-Choinska the event/set-up details eight (8) business days prior to the date of the event.
- Please contact BCTC Media Services directly for Audio Visual Services.
- If you plan to serve food at your event, please work directly with the caterer of your choice. Caterers must provide wait staff for events held in VC 14-220, VC 14-250 and the Rackow Room/Faculty Lounge H750/760.
- If you plan to serve alcohol at your event, the caterer must obtain a Special Event Permit from the New York State Liquor Authority. Please note that this permit is different from the liquor license used at the caterer’s establishment. This permit must be visibly displayed on the bar at the event.
