NYS Right to Know/OSHA Hazard Communication
All employees who handle or come into contact with hazardous materials as part of their regular work duties are required to have Hazard Communication Training. This training consists of identifying the chemical hazards the employee works with and training them on proper handling, individual protection, and disposal of these materials. Departments trained in handling hazards include Buildings and Grounds, Natural Sciences, Public Safety, to name a few. If you want in-person training for your department, please contact the Office of Environmental Health, Safety and Risk Management at 646-660-6048.
